Farewell, Sweet Oli

As our furfriends on Instagram and Facebook are already aware, our sweet senior Oli has crossed the rainbow bridge. The world will be darker without his light and love, but he is at peace and will be forever in our hearts. Thank you for loving him with us. Snuggle your furbabies a little closer, have fun together, and spoil them rotten.

DIY Double (Infinity) Loop Dog Tug Toy

Double the loops for double the fun! These DIY dog tug toys are an easy variation on a standard spiral (or square) weave tug toy. Don't let the optical effect of the continuous curve (the purple and the green tug in this example) trick you into thinking these are difficult to make. Here are all the DIY details! I created this post as a special edition for the blog after a reader question about making double loop (infinity loop) dog tug toys. They're busy crafting for their local shelter, so I thought I'd help virtually with a some options for loops including step-by-step photos. Crafting it forward!

Oli's 14th Birthday (Lockdown Pawty Special Edition)

Our sweet senior spotty is 14! Thank you for all of the social media love and happy birthday wishes you've given to Oli over the past few days. We are very lucky to be celebrating together again this year. Although we have a temporary pause here on the blog due to our current COVID-19 lockdown, a birthday party is always something to celebrate. Even if it's a small bubble birthday with long distance well wishes.

Isolation and Lockdown Life with Pets

Hibernating? Us too, and it's  not just the onset of our cool, wet, autumn weather. If you're following us on social media or are a fellow kiwi furfamily, you'll already know that New Zealand implemented a nationwide lockdown last week as a proactive measure to (hopefully) stem the spread of COVID-19. Here's what that means for upcoming posts on the blog, our furfamily life behind the scenes, ideas for maintaining a fun mental/physical stimulation for dogs, and links to other helpful resources for fellow pet owners
