{RECIPE} Autumn Apple Puppy Pie Dog Treats

Homemade apple pie dog treats on a plaid table with drawstring treat bags

These quick and fruity dog treats smell great! Our fruit-fan dogs thought they were pretty tasty, too. For those of you enjoying the cool days of autumn and freshly harvested apples, you can swap pureed fresh apple for sauce and adjust your liquid/flour quantities if needed to get a nice workable dough. Our apple trees are in blossom at the moment, but there is never a wrong time of year for pie, is there?

{RECIPE} Strawberry Banana & Mint Dog Muffins

Homemade strawberry banana mint muffin dog treats

Yesterday we shared a special post all about the healthy fruits, veggies, and herbs for dogs, so it seemed only fitting that our weekly recipe be a deliciously fruity treat.  This small-batch muffin recipe is quick and simple, and smells AMAZING.  Go ahead and taste one yourself if you wish - they aren't sweet like many of our human muffins, but they are packed with nutritional goodness and flavour.  Added bonus: these made our dogs' breath smell awesome!  Perhaps a recipe to bake up before sharing any Valentine's Day puppy dog kisses?  Strawberries and mint are readily available here at the moment, including straight out of our garden, but you can also substitute - see the tips at the end of our post.
